What are charitable donations used for?

The Northern Consortium is a unique organization that ensures that women and children obtain the health care they need. Funding to our organization is used to save the lives of mothers and babies through direct service, education and policy development. Donations enable our work to reach more families. The Northern Consortium has been designated a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization by the United States Internal Revenue Service. As such, charitable donations or made to the Northern Consortium are tax deductible to the fullest extent allowable under the law. Bequests, legacies, devises, transfers or gifts to the Northern Consortium are deductible for Federal estate and gift tax purposes.

Many companies will match a donation made to the Northern New Jersey Maternal/Child Health Consortium by one of their employees.
